This is the last week to get our snowballs in. I think this is going to be a BIG week for the other two schools. I hope it's a BIGGER week for us. Livy Kids are ROCKIN' it with their snowballs. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Last day to turn in snowballs is Friday.

Challenge of the Books
78 elementary students from across the district participated in the Cody Schools Challenge of the Books Competition. The competition is for students who want to read and answer competitive questions with a team. This challenge goes on through middle school where teams compete against others in the Bighorn Basin. The elementary results were:

Livingston School: Noetic Math Competition
The Noetic Math Contest is a semiannual problem-solving contest for elementary students in our district. Problem-solving helps students to become better mathematicians, better thinkers, and more equipped for advanced STEM learning and research. During the contest students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems. This year 2nd and 3rd grade students competed at the advanced third grade level. 4th and 5th graders competed at the advanced fifth grade level. There is a Team Winner who is the top scorer of the district's team. This fall there were several National Honorable Mentions which are students who perform in the top 50% of other students.

Mr. Munari will be postponing the Christmas program for 2nd and 3rd graders and Honor Choir until after Christmas. When we get back from break we will get a time setup for those students to perform.

PTK is sponsoring their first Adopt-A-Teacher this year! Our hope is to support our teachers who go above and beyond for their students every day. This holiday season, we invited teachers to write down what they need to help restock their classrooms. The tree is located in the front office of the school and the wish tags will be available for you to “adopt” one teacher (or more). You are then responsible for purchasing the items on the teacher’s wish tag. For those who cannot pick up a wish tag from the tree in the office, we will list the wish tags on a separate post and will keep the list updated.
I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Break! I cannot wait to see all the staff and students tomorrow. I know there will be many stories about turkey, fun and full bellies.
We will begin our Trimester 2 specials schedule tomorrow. This means students in the following classes will need their PE shoes for tomorrow: (K- Mrs. Reed, 1st- Mrs. Skorupski, 2nd- Mrs. Moore, 3rd Mrs. Clark, 4th Mrs. Warner, and 5th Mr. Smith). Students in other classes will have Library, Music, or Counseling.
