Sunset Elementary

In November 2019 the Veterans fundraiser supported Northwest Battle Buddies Puppy Foster Program. The purpose/mission of Northwest Battle Buddies is to empower combat Veterans to regain their freedom and independence by partnering them with professionally trained and specifically matched service dogs, at no charge. Sunset students named our dog Sunny. In March 2020 Sunny visited our students one more time before she went to her forever home. Today she is with her veteran after being fostered with a Sunset family. Here she is with her former foster family and her veteran. Her foster family received an award at the recent Veterans program.
