We are thrilled to announce that Sunset Elementary has been awarded a $500 grant from the Cent$ible Nutrition Program and Wyoming Department of Health- Maternal and Child Health Division! This generous funding will support an exciting and innovative project that brings healthy eating and farm-to-table concepts to life in our school.
With this grant, our students will create living walls down each hallway, filled with a variety of fresh, edible plants. These interactive walls will provide students the opportunity to see, touch, and taste different food types, reinforcing the importance of nutrition and healthy choices in a hands-on way. Through this initiative, we aim to inspire a deeper connection between students and the food they eat while promoting sustainable growing practices.
