Hello CHS, thanks for a great start to the school year. It's great to have kids back in the building again. Please note, we have worked on student schedules all last week and it looks like kids are settling in. We have had several instances where there were limited options for students in certain periods. Our enrollment is up and many of our classes are at or over capacity. We always try to accommodate student requests for electives but at this point we will have very limited capacity to change those classes. Please contact your guidance counselor if you have questions about these options. We appreciate your understanding as we proceed throughout this school year. Go Broncs and Fillies!!!

Hello CHS, just a quick reminder: Chromebook checkout will be tomorrow throughout the school day. Freshman will go to the library during their Link Crew rotation. Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students will be called by intercom to the library in the afternoon. Students must have paid the $25 insurance fee to receive their Chromebook. Lisa Meyer will be in the office until 4pm today and back tomorrow morning starting at 7:30am if you need to stop in and get that completed. Go Broncs and Fillies!!!

Hello CHS, school is fast approaching. We wanted to send out a quick message and let you know that the City of Cody is doing a lot of walkway and road work in front of and around CHS. This work will impact traffic and access to our facilities. Please be aware that this is taking place and be cautious as you come to the school. Come August 23rd the School Nutrition Department will be charging for school meals based on your child(ren)'s eligibility status. Please take the time to fill out a meal application. Attention Juniors - now is the time to start thinking about life after CHS. Please attend the Thirteenth Year presentation. This session is designed to give you a jump start on preparing for college/ trade school. This session will be held at the Cody Public Library in the Grizzly Hall tomorrow night, Wednesday, May 11th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Parents and students are highly encouraged to attend. Attention Juniors: Wyoming Boys' State, held annually in June, is a chance for high school juniors from across the state to participate in a week's worth of activities to gain knowledge of their state and its governmental structure. Delegates learn first-hand how government works, experiencing what it takes to create and enact laws. The week emphasizes leadership, civic engagement and patriotism.
Speakers include officials from city, county, state and federal levels of government who represent executive, legislative and judicial branches. In the process of working together, the delegates develop life-long friendships.
The week culminates with a visit to the State Capitol in Cheyenne, where Delegates occupy the House and Senate Chambers, as well as the various offices and agencies of Wyoming's government. Delegates have the opportunity to meet the governor and many of his staff members in this full day of activities.

Class of 2022 Local Scholarship Awards Night is tonight at 7:00pm in The Wynona Thompson Auditorium. Seniors were notified in advance if they will be receiving an award or scholarship. Hey CHS Parents -
Ask your kid(s) about the assembly today. They got to watch a small potion of a film about a young Rock Springs couple's bike ride across France and Germany to retrace their grandfather's journey as a POW during WWII.
If you want to bring your child to learn where to find information about your relatives' journeys (veterans or not), come to the CHS cafeteria at 5:30. Research specialists from the county archives and area museums will be on hand to help you look.
At 6:30 we will go to the museum to watch Mark and Carrie's full documentary depicting their grandfather's WWII story.
I have attached some advice for parents of high school students working to help their children with large research projects.

Join the CHS History Club, BBCoW, and VFW for a screening of the documentary "Dear Sirs" created by filmmaker Mark Pedri who bikes across France and Germany to tell the story of his grandfather as an American Prisoner of War during WWII.
Bring facts about veterans you know and you can join the CHS History Club to find resources to uncover stories from your veterans' past.
